Jungle Cabana SuitesMopan Resort Pool

Mopan River Resort is an unparalleled, riverfront facility with twelve luxury cabanas and suites. The suites have full kitchen. The resort is situated on a grassy riverbank, all with wonderful water views. Add to this, the canopy of a mature coconut grove, along with avocado, mango and citrus trees, colorful tropical plants, and birds singing continuously... The whole effect is truly magical... If you are dreaming of a getaway wedding or planning to renew your vows on a special anniversary, Mopan Resort Resort is the only resort in Belize with a Registered Marriage Officer on-site!

The only access to the resort is by crossing the river on the resort's private ferry or boat, giving it a secluded atmosphere, but the cultural flavor and sleepy village life of Benque Viejo are just across the river. Mopan River Resort is a two hour drive from Belize International Airport (Belize City), and the paved Western Highway is an easy ride all the way into "Benque." This accessibility also makes it very convenient, less time consuming, and more comfortable, to visit the sights of the region from the location. Enjoy the murmur of the falls and the glimmer of the river from your shady verandah. The sparkling swimming pool offers you the option of relaxing "at home," should you wish to opt out of the day's excursions; you can also enjoy searching for toucans from atop the bird watching tower!
