The Singing Sands is a small, unique and charming resort on the Placencia Peninsula featuring six thatched roof cabanas, built from local hardwoods, primarily mahogany. The rooms are simply decorated, with clean white walls, local artwork and Guatemalan needlecraft. Each cabana has either a double or queen bed and a second single bed, separate bathroom with hot shower, and refrigerator. Rooms are cooled by ceiling fans and the sea breezes. A small patio with protective thatch roof and rocking chairs offers a full view of the sea from your own cabana. Meals are served in the open, thatched roof restaurant where you may view the sea as you enjoy a variety of fresh seafood, continental, local and vegetarian cuisine.
The resort has its own 25 foot boat for snorkeling excursions, which will accommodate 10 people. The 40 x 20 fresh water pool is surrounded by coconut palms and deck with several beach and lounging chairs. Massage therapy is available and a Gift shop is located on the premises, along with library, laundry facilities, e-mail and fax services. Rainy day activities provided i.e., a variety of games and also art crafts for children.
